Recompression Chamber Dry Dive

On your Recompression Chamber Dry Dive you will find out how recompression therapy can help divers, if in the unlikely event they have to need treatment for Decompression sickness?
We are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity for you to experience a Dry Dive in the Recompression Chamber at Whipps Cross Hospital Hyperbaric unit, in Leytonstone.
You will experience the effects of nitrogen narcosis in a safe controlled environment, you will perform some tasks to test your level of impairment.
If at depth you feel the effects of narcosis, it may increase the risk of an incident.
By completing the Recompression Chamber Dry Dive, you will be prepared mentally for what could happen underwater.
This course is open to any qualified diver, and is run as the PADI Chamber Awareness Speciality, an excellent fun and fact filled adventure for you. Speciality card is optional for £25 extra
You will be shown some of the other injuries or illnesses that Hyperbaric therapy can help, you will be surprised at how effective it can be, on so many different medical conditions.
You will need to be at least 16 years old, Be dive qualified, minimum PADI Open water or equivalent. Fit to dive, as you will fill out a medical questionnaire.
Please bring proof of qualification and your logbook.
You can even bring your dive computer to record the dive, and cameras or video in a suitable housing for 40m depth.
There will also be a tour of the facility, and a DCI presentation all for only £40 (+£25 if you would like the certification card). the course takes approximately 3-4 hours.
