Begin your adventure today!
Here starts your journey into the unknown. As you dip below the surface for the first time and realise the potential, you will feel a rush like never before. Attaining your ‘Scuba Diver’ Course means you are fast becoming one of the thousands of people to venture into the unknown.
Taking the Scuba Diving course sits below the Open water qualification but allows you to dive to the same conditions provided you are under direct supervision of a dive master, assistant instructor or higher. This course is ideal for those who have booked a forthcoming holiday and wish to gain a qualification to be able to venture to the seas on the vacation.
What do I need to start?
Almost anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a Scuba Diver certification. If you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Scuba Diver program available.
Minimum age: 10 years old
What will I do?
Throughout the course, you will learn the basic fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You earn this rating by completing pool dives, knowledge development sessions and by making two open water (ocean or lake) dives.
How long will it take?
PADI programs are performance based. You proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the course skills. This allows you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you. On average you should allow 3 to 5 two hour sessions. However rest assured at Waterfront scuba we will proceed with the course at the speed that best suits you. The important thing is that you feel confident in the water and confident in your abilities.
Worried about time constraints? We can offer you the PADI Scuba Diver referral course, which would allow you to complete all of your pool work and theory in the UK, thus allowing you to maximize your holiday time so you can complete your qualification dives at your holiday destination or on one of our scuba diving escorted holidays. The mystery of shipwrecks, the allure of beautiful corals, the colours of marine life, the feeling of being a part of whole new world, there is nothing like it and we can bring all this to you.
